Another source said that Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of Zomato, had organized a town hall a few days back. Where he indicated that there would be job cuts in those functions which were not performing well. Sources said some of the account managers associated with the cloud kitchen have already been replaced.
The news of layoffs has now come to the fore after three top-level employees of the company submitted their resignations in the last three weeks. Zomato co-founder Mohit Gupta, new initiatives head Rahul Ganju and intercity head Siddharth Jewar had resigned citing stability concerns at the senior level management.
