Due to one of the major mistakes, YouTube has apologized to all creators. YouTube recently faced severe criticism from creators and subscribers for banning channels and canceling subscriptions due to a system error. The platform has apologized for its mistake and stated that work is being done quickly to resolve this issue.

Last week, YouTube acknowledged the problem on X, formerly called Twitter, and informed users that many channels were mistakenly marked under "spam and fraudulent practices" after which they were banned; this ban has since been lifted. Because of this bug, millions of creators had to face problems. YouTube said it was investigating the issue and working to restore the affected accounts.

The problem did not affect content creators alone, as some YouTube Premium subscribers reported losing access to their paid accounts, which include such services as YouTube Music and YouTube TV.

YouTube updated the post on X to indicate the issue was resolved, but it didn't detail how many creators had been affected nor what had caused the error. On its help site, YouTube apologized and said it was working to restore channel access and subscriptions. "This was a mistake and we are deeply sorry," YouTube said.
