XUV300 facelift will come in February 2024: The updated XUV400 EV will be launched before this, in direct competition with Nexon and Kia Sonet
Mahindra will announce the prices of the XUV300 facelift in February 2024. Before this, the updated XUV400 EV will be launched in January. An electric version of the XUV300 will also be launched which will be available for sale from June 2024. With the facelift, Mahindra wants to increase its presence in the compact SUV market.
To compete with the updated Nexon and the upcoming Sonet facelift, the XUV300 facelift has received major styling changes, especially at the front and rear, reports Autocar. Its bumper and headlamp assembly have been changed. The styling is largely inspired by Mahindra's BE line-up of SUVs. These SUVs will arrive in 2025.
Apart from the styling changes, the XUV300 facelift will add features like a segment-first panoramic sunroof and a larger 10.25-inch infotainment screen. Talking about the engine, the XUV300 facelift will come with the most powerful 131hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (TGDI) engine with an Ison-sourced 6-speed automatic (torque converter).
Mahindra XUV300 EV can get a 35kWh battery. That means it will be smaller than the 40kWh battery found in the XUV400 EV. Information about its range is not currently available. In India, the Mahindra XUV300 EV is expected to be priced between Rs 15-17 lakh (ex-showroom). That means it will be Rs 2 lakh cheaper than the Mahindra XUV400 EV.
Mahindra XUV300 is currently available in petrol and diesel engines. The 1197 cc petrol engine generates power of 128.73bhp@5000rpm and torque of 230Nm@1500-3750rpm. The 1497 cc diesel engine generates power of 115.05bhp@3750rpm and torque of 300Nm@1500-2500rpm. It is available in both manual and automatic transmission.
