WPL 2025: Mumbai Indians set a flurry of records against Gujarat Giants in the Eliminator

The Eliminator match for the Women's Premier League 2025 was played on 13 March at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, wherein the Mumbai Indians Women won against the Gujarat Giants Women by 47 runs and grabbed the final position. In this match, the first to play was Mumbai and it scored 213 runs, against whom the Gujarat side was bowled for 166 runs in 19.2 overs. Hayley Matthews was awarded 'Player of the Match' for her exceptional performance. Mumbai Indians all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt established herself yet again in the playoffs. Mumbai continued this trend by batting first in this eliminator and won. With a win in the eliminator, Mumbai Indians Women will now take on Delhi Capitals in the final. This match will be a repeat of the final of the inaugural season (2023), in which Mumbai defeated Delhi to win the title. However, Delhi has defeated Mumbai twice this season, so an exciting battle is expected in the final.
