Harleen Deol Ruled Out Of Wpl 2024: Harleen Deol is out of the tournament due to injury. She was injured during the match played against UP Warriors, considering the seriousness of which she has been advised not to play in the remaining matches.
Like the first season of the Women's Premier League (WPL), this season too Gujarat Giants (GG) has not been able to perform much so far. The team has been able to win only one in five matches and is at the bottom of the points table with two points. If Gujarat wants to make it to the playoffs, it will have to win all the matches from here. But meanwhile, the team has suffered a big setback.
Harleen Deol, the team's best batswoman, is injured and will not play in the tournament. Because of the severity of her injuries sustained during the game against UP Warriors, she has been advised not to play in the remaining games. Since this year is also the T20 World Cup, Harleen's injury will receive extra attention from the Indian team management. The Gujarat Giants have declared Harleen's replacement. In her place, Bharti Phulmali has joined the team.
Harleen hasn't given many performances yet this season, though. In three games, the Indian batsman has only amassed 48 runs. In addition, Sneh Rana, the vice-captain of Gujarat, has missed the previous two games due to injury. According to reports, Rana is out of the team due to a fever. Gujarat Giants have won the only match this season against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Now their next match is with defending champion Mumbai Indians (MI).
