The cases of molestation of women on flights are not stopping. Now a case of molestation of a female passenger has come to light in an Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Guwahati. An FIR has been registered against the accused person.

According to an IndiGO flight News spokesperson, the incident occurred on September 10 in flight number 6E 5319. The accused was handed over to Assam Police after the plane landed in Guwahati after the victim lodged a complaint of alleged sexual assault.

The officer said that an FIR has been lodged by the complainant with the local police, on the basis of which action has been taken.

Indigo spokesperson (INDIGO flight News) said that we will provide assistance in the investigation wherever necessary. He said that we took immediate action as soon as we received the complaint.

Earlier, a case of molestation had also come to light on a flight going from Dubai to Amritsar. A female crew member of the flight was molested by a drunk man on a plane coming to Shri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport. However, the police arrested him as soon as the plane reached Amritsar.

In the last two months, at least four cases of sexual harassment have been reported in various flights. Earlier on August 16, a case of alleged sexual harassment came to light in a Delhi-Mumbai SpiceJet flight, a video of which went viral on social media.

Delhi Women Commission Chairperson Swati Maliwal had also issued a notice to Delhi Police and DGCA on this incident.
