Video call delivery of woman in Jammu and Kashmir: Could not reach medical college due to snowfall, delivered in CHC
A woman trapped in snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir was delivered by doctors through a WhatsApp video call. In fact, the woman was admitted to the CHC after labour pain, where the doctors advised her to be taken to the medical college. But all the roads to reach the medical college were closed. Later, on the instructions of the experts, the delivery of the woman was done in the CHC itself through video call.
In fact, there was heavy snowfall on February 10 and 11 in the Keran area of the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this most of the roads are closed. However, the work of removing snow from the roads is going on. Meanwhile, a pregnant woman from the Keran area had labour pain on Saturday. On this, the family members admitted the woman to the PHC.
Here the doctors advised to take the woman to the medical college, but all the roads to reach the medical college were closed. According to the report of the news agency PTI, due to snowfall, the possibility of airlifting the woman was also over.
After this, the CHC doctors contacted Dr. Parvez, an obstetrician posted at the Kralpura sub-district hospital. He told the process of delivery on WhatsApp video call to Keran PHC staff. PHC doctors told that after 6 hours in this way, the woman gave birth to a healthy child. Both mother and child are healthy, they have been kept under the supervision of doctors.
