WhatsApp banned 17 lakh accounts in India in a month, one mistake and you can also come in the list
Report: Most bans on WhatsApp accounts are imposed for violation of policy. If you are involved in the promotion of any spam, scam, or misinformation, then your account can be banned. Apart from this, if you break the rule implemented by the local administration, then your account can also be banned.
After the implementation of IT rules in 2021, all social media and tech companies release grievance reports every month. The world's largest social media site Meta also releases this report every month. Now the company has released this report for its platform WhatsApp. Meta has said in its report that 71 lakh WhatsApp accounts have been banned in the month of April 2024. This action has taken place between April 1 and April 30.
Between April 1 and April 30, WhatsApp banned 7,182,000 accounts. To identify suspicious activity on its platform, the company employs machine learning and data analytics. In April, WhatsApp received 10,554 complaints about account support, ban recommendations, product support, and security.
The most common reason for a WhatsApp account ban is a violation of policies. Your account may be suspended if you are involved in the spread of spam, scams, or misinformation. In addition, if you violate the rules imposed by the local administration, your account may be banned. If you don't want your account to be banned, you shouldn't share fake content from it. Aside from that, you should avoid bulk messaging.
