Weak start in the stock market on Dhanteras; Sensex fell 350 points, Nifty below 24250

In the Asian markets, South Korea's Kospi and China's Shanghai Composite were in loss, while Japan's Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng showed a rise. Weak start in the stock market on Dhanteras; Sensex fell 350 points, Nifty below 24250

The domestic stock market once again appeared trading in the red on Dhanteras after a hike on Monday. Stock markets declined in early trade on Tuesday amidst the relentless withdrawal of foreign funds from the capital markets. BSE Sensex slipped 322.24 points to 79,682.80 points in early trade. Simultaneously, NSE Nifty declined by 86.55 points to 24,252.60 points.

Of the 30-share companies on the Sensex, Bharti Airtel declined about three percent. Shares of indices such as Mahindra & Mahindra, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, JSW Steel, Infosys, and IndusInd Bank remained in loss.

Whereas shares of NTPC, ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Nestle remained in profit. In Asian markets, South Korea's Kospi and China's Shanghai Composite Index  remained in loss while Japan's Nikkei 225 and Hong Kong's Hang Seng remained in loss PROFIT.

US markets closed in positive territory on Monday. International benchmark Brent crude fell 0.18 percent to $ 71.55 per barrel. Stock market data showed that foreign institutional investors, or FIIs, were sellers on Monday and sold shares worth net Rs 3,228.08 crore.
