IB 71 OTT Release Date: Vidyut Jamwal Anupam Kher's spy thriller film IB 71 was released in theaters on 5 May. Now IB 71 has been released on OTT which is like a gift for the fans of Vidyut.
Vidyut Jammwal, Anupam Kher, and Vishal Jethwa starrer espionage thriller film 'IB 71' released across the cinema halls on 12 May. There is good news for the audience who could not watch 'IB 71' in theatres. Nearly two months after its release, IB 71 has had its digital premiere on the streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar. On Saturday, June 24, the OTT platform shared the film's poster on its social media handles and announced, "The untold story of India's biggest spy mission is here! #IB71OnHotstar streaming from 7th July."
IB 71 was a commercial failure at the box office as the audience preferred Vidyut's Commando franchise co-star Adah Sharma-starrer The Kerala Story. Both films were released in theaters on 2 May. While Adah's film had grossed over Rs 300 crore worldwide. At the box office, the Vidyut-starrer World Wide failed to even mint Rs 30 crore.
IB 71 is directed by Sankalp Reddy, who won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for his directorial debut Ghazi, which was released in Hindi as The Ghazi Attack in 2017. Like Reddy's latest release, Ghazi too was set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971.
The film also stars Faizan Khan, Ashwath Bhatt, Dalip Tahil, Danny Sura, and Suvrat Joshi in lead roles, the film marks Vidyut Jammwal's debut as a producer under the banner Action Hero Films. T-Series and Reliance Entertainment also co-produced the espionage thriller based on real events.
