Vedanta Group will partner with world-class company for semiconductor manufacturing, know what is the plan

Laying out an ambitious semiconductor manufacturing roadmap for India, Indian conglomerate Vedanta's Anil Agarwal on Friday said the global mining giant has identified a world-class technology partner and is in the process of tying up with them. The company says that it is fully ready to make semiconductor and display fabs, let's know about the whole news.
Vedanta's Anil Agarwal said the company is fully committed to making semiconductor and display fabs. The kind of response we have got in Japan, Korea, and America, the ecosystem will be built around Gujarat and we have signed 100 MoUs for this purpose. He said that Gujarat will emerge as a semiconductor hub and it is the right place to make India's Silicon Valley.
Anil Agarwal said that for semiconductors we have already identified world-class partners and are in the process of tying up with them. Vedanta Group has also made it clear that it is committed to building India's first semiconductor and display fab at the Dholera Special Investment Region in Gujarat and substantial progress has been made in the semiconductor to engage technology and equity partners.
Akash K Hebbar, Global MD, Vedanta Semiconductors & Display, had recently said that the company would await government approval for its applications under the revised scheme for semiconductor and display fabs.
Let us tell you that Hebbar had said in a statement, "After this, we will start manufacturing immediately and will set out on the path of making India self-reliant in electronics as per the vision of our honorable Prime Minister." In an update earlier this week, the group said its semiconductor application under the revised scheme is under consideration by the government.
Whereas, Display Fab, is now proceeding to file a fresh application under the Revised Display Scheme. The group has expressed its determination and commitment to produce critical semiconductor and display glass/modules for the growing Indian market.
