Vande Bharat Train coming to Delhi was attacked; Window panes of two coaches broken
Vande Bharat Train: Vande Bharat train has been pelted with stones in Una, Himachal Pradesh, this is the second such incident in two days.
Vande Bharat Express traveling from Amb-Andaura station to New Delhi was attacked. Four coaches were damaged when miscreants pelted stones at the train. No passenger was injured in the incident, officials said on Sunday. The unidentified people pelted at the stones near Basal village at around 1:15 pm on Saturday and broke the window panes of two coaches, they said.
According to railway police officials, the extent of damage caused to the train was being assessed and all efforts were being made to nab the culprits. The loco pilot of the Vande Bharat train informed the RPF about the incident. After this, the RPF reached the spot and investigated. However, no passenger was injured in this incident. In the incident, four coaches of the Vande Bharat train, including E-1, E-2, C-7, and C-10 coaches, suffered extensive damage.
Earlier, the train between Una and Churudu Takarla was attacked by stones. In addition to stone hitting on Vande Bharat, five people were arrested in September for damaging the Durg-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express during a trial run in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district. According to Railway Protection Force (Mahasamund) inspector Praveen Singh Dhakad, the incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Friday as the train was passing through Bagbahara railway station on its way back from Visakhapatnam to Durg for a trial run. The train was scheduled to depart Durg on September 16 for regular service.
