Ukraine will sack Defense Minister in the midst of war; Lost chair due to corruption scandal

Ukraine, which is battling corruption in the middle of the war, has now decided to remove its Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov from the post. He will now be replaced by Ukraine's Military Intelligence Chief Kirlo Budanov. President Volodymyr Zelensky's party announced this on Sunday.
David Arkhamia, head of Zelensky's Servant of the People party, informed about Oleksiy's removal from the post via telegram. He wrote that during the war, Ukraine's defence ministry should be in the hands of someone with military experience, rather than a leader.
Oleksiy Reznikov became the Defense Minister of Ukraine only in November 2021, 3 months before the start of the war. The head of Zelensky's party, David Arkhamia, told that Oleksiy Reznikov will now be assigned to another ministry. However, when Reznikov was asked about this, he clearly told that he would not accept any other ministry. Before the announcement of his removal from the Ministry of Defense was made, he had said that no one remains in office forever. I will do whatever Zelensky tells me.
On January 24, Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov was forced to resign after being embroiled in a corruption scandal. According to the New York Times report, due to this scandal, now Oleksiy Reznikov is also being removed. However, Oleksiy has not been directly accused of corruption. At the same time, it is believed that the scandal in the Ministry of Defense in the middle of the war spoiled the image of Ukraine worldwide. As a result of which Oleksi had to suffer.
In fact, in a report published in a Ukrainian newspaper on January 21, it was told that on the instructions of the Deputy Defense Minister, the ministry had signed the contract for food items at three times more expensive price. According to The Kyiv Independent, an egg which is available in Kyiv shops for 15 rupees was bought for 37 rupees. Eggs as well as some other food items were bought at exorbitant prices.
In recent days, many senior officials and ministers of Ukraine have been embroiled in corruption scandals. Zelensky is constantly demanding his resignation. Last week, 15 officers have been sacked. At the same time, he has also resigned as the Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine.
Russia is continuously attacking Ukraine's infrastructure. Many important buildings, there have collapsed. In such a situation, Ukraine is spending a lot of money to restore those buildings. Vasil Lozinski was accused of accepting a bribe of Rs 3 crore 23 lacks in the contract for the purchase of machinery for the work of restoring buildings.
