Udaipur city's Sukher police station police have arrested two accused with 9 illegal pistols and 13 cartridges in a joint operation of SOG and ATS. Police are trying to find out for what purpose these weapons were brought. However, no concrete information has come out in this regard in the interrogation so far.

After this action, the police are trying to find out for what purpose these weapons were brought to Udaipur. Interrogation of the accused is going on, but till now no concrete information has been found in this regard.
Superintendent of Police Yogesh Goyal said that the arrested accused Tausif and Ejaz are residents of the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. The accused had planned to get illegal pistols from Ratlam and use them for criminal activities in the city.
Tausif was staying at his sister's house in the Mallatlai area, from where the former along with Ejaz procured these weapons. While four pistols were recovered from Ejaz red-handed, five were from Tausif.
The police investigation revealed that both the accused were previously involved in the supply of illegal weapons and had also supplied weapons to some other accused arrested by the ATS. Police say that these pistols were brand new and had not been used till now.
According to police sources, Ratlam, Javra, Khargone, etc., are the places from where it has been smuggling illegal weapons. Now, the police, regarding this matter, are probing further to find out the purpose of bringing these weapons.
