He was not able to tweet, nor was he able to send messages. Some users who tried to post new tweets were getting a pop-up which read – You have exceeded the daily limit for sending tweets.
Meanwhile, Twitter posted – There have been some technical problems with the microblogging platform. Twitter may not be working as expected for some of your users. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We have received information about this. Working to fix it.
According to CNN, some Twitter users were getting a pop-up that read, "We're sorry, we weren't able to send your tweet." Twitter users were also unable to send direct messages. Was getting the message on the following new accounts - You are unable to follow too many people at this time. Some users revealed that they could only share tweets using Twitter's tweet scheduling function.
According to a CNN report, people had to face trouble from 4 am to 5 am on Thursday. More than 9,000 people reported the problem. Reports saw a dip within half an hour, as some users started tweeting again.
Twitter has faced a series of technical glitches since Elon Musk took over as the platform's CEO and laid off more than half of its employees in 2022, reports CNN. Users had previously mentioned issues regarding the app's two-factor authentication tool. Users are also having trouble logging in to Tweet Deck.
According to the outage tracking website DownDetector, users also had trouble logging in to Facebook and Instagram. More than 12,000 Facebook users and nearly 7,000 Instagram users filed reports. Apart from this, users are also informed about the problems faced by Facebook's online messaging app Messenger.
