TVS Motor and Ashok Leyland extended a helping hand, donated Rs 3 crore to Tamil Nadu government for rescue work from Michong Cyclone

Today TVS Motor and Ashok Leyland have donated Rs 3 crore each to the Tamil Nadu Government's relief fund to aid relief efforts in the wake of floods and damage caused by Cyclone Michong. Cyclone Michong has wreaked havoc in Chennai as well as other cities of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu CM will also donate his one month's salary.

TVS Motor, one of the country's largest motor companies, has donated Rs 3 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to assist in relief efforts in the wake of floods and damage caused by Cyclone Michong in Tamil Nadu. TVS Motors said it will provide additional service support for flood-affected customers.

The company said in a statement that the money will be used to provide essential flood relief and assistance to those who have been badly affected by the cyclone. Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director, of TVS Motor Company said, “The flooding has caused severe hardship on the community, and we would like to play our part to support the community.”

Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has today donated Rs 3 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's Relief Fund for relief work and assistance in the Cyclone Michong affected state.

Shenu Agarwal, Managing Director and CEO, Ashok Leyland, said, “We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the cyclonic storm and incessant rains, which has affected the lives of many people in Chennai and surrounding districts. The prompt response displayed by the Government of Tamil Nadu in managing this difficult situation and ensuring necessary relief measures Very happy to see."

Cyclone Michong has caused devastation in other cities of Tamil Nadu including the capital Chennai. Apart from the problem of drinking water, people are not able to get other essential items. Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin will donate his one month's salary to overcome this emergency.
