Train travel will be cheaper, up to 25 percent reduction in AC chair car and executive class fares
Today, the Central Government has given big relief news to those traveling by Indian Railways. The government has today announced a reduction of up to 25 percent in the AC chair car executive class fares of all trains including Vande Bharat. The apprehension of a reduction in prices was being expressed for the last several days.
The government has given very good news to those traveling by train today. The Railway Board said in an order that the AC Chair Car and Executive Class and Anubhuti and Vistadome coach fares of all trains including Vande Bharat will be reduced by up to 25 percent.
Railways said that this reduction in fares will be done on the basis of seat filling in trains. Apart from this, the fare will also depend on the competing modes of transport.
The Railway Board has asked various zones of the Railways to start the process of giving concessions to those trains which have less than 50 percent seat occupancy during the last 30 days.
The apprehension of a reduction in rent was being expressed for the last several days. Indian Railways was reviewing the fares of some short-distance Vande Bharat trains with fewer passengers to bring down the prices and make them more viable for the people.
