Toyota sold 2.33 lakh units last year, company's sales increased by 46 percent compared to the year 2022

In December, Toyota sold 22867 units in the domestic market which is a significant increase of 119 percent compared to the December figures of 2022. Out of this, 21372 units were sold within India and 1495 units of Hyryder were exported. Toyota has also managed to increase production capabilities and added three-shift operations.

Toyota sold 2.33 lakh units last year, company's sales increased by 46 percent compared to the year 2022

Today i.e. on Monday, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced retail sales of 2.33 lakh units in the calendar year 2023. The company has said that this sale is 46 per cent more than the figures of CY2022.

Due to the continuously increasing demand for Toyota Urban Cruiser and the popularity of Fortuner, the company has sold a total of 2.21 lakh units in the Indian market. Let us know about the figures presented by the company.

In December, Toyota sold 22,867 units in the domestic market, a significant increase of 119 per cent compared to December 2022 figures. Of these, 21,372 units were sold within India and 1,495 units of the Hyryder were exported. Currently, Toyota's India lineup mainly consists of SUVs and MPVs, although it also offers the Glanza hatchback, which is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.

The company has also recently launched the Rumion MPV and this model is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The company's fleet includes mid-size SUVs like power players Fortuner, Innova Crysta, Innova Crysta Hycross and urban cruiser Hayrider, which are also available with strong hybrid technology.

As we move into 2024, we are looking forward to a strong We are on a growth path. We will continue to focus on sustainable growth supported by a strong network, advanced product portfolio and benchmark aftersales services.”

Toyota has also managed to increase production capabilities and added three-shift operations. It has already announced an investment of Rs 3,300 crore for its third manufacturing factory, which will increase the company's annual production capacity to one lakh units. The new plant, once fully operational, will increase the company's total production capacity to 3.42 lakh units, while the newest facility in particular will create an additional 2,000 jobs.
