Toyota broke old sales records, 61% increase in February due to strong sales

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recorded retail sales of 25220 units last month which is 61 per cent higher compared to the figures of the same month of 2023 when its retail sales were 15685 units. Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) said today i.e. on Friday that the company made its highest-ever sales in February 2024. The company recorded retail sales of 25,220 units last month, which is 61 per cent higher than the figures for the same month in 2023 when its retail sales were 15,685 units.

According to a press statement issued by Toyota, the company sold 23,300 units in the domestic market in February, while another 1,920 units were exported. Interestingly, Toyota reported the highest-ever wholesales in any month in January this year at 24,609 units. On expected lines, cars like Innova Crysta, Innova Hicross and Fortuner have shown good growth.

Manohar also made particular mention of the Innova HighCross reaching the milestone of 50,000 units sold. Launched in November 2022, the HyCross offers hybrid technology and differs slightly from the Crysta in terms of features and design.

Toyota in India also offers models like the Glanza and Rumion, which are essentially re-badged versions of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Ertiga respectively. Its urban cruiser Hayrider mid-size SUV is performing well in its segment. However, there is not much demand for Hilux pick-up.
