'TMC ready to be in India alliance, but...', Abhishek Banerjee's warning to Congress on seat sharing
Bengal: Abhishek Banerjee said that Congress was asked to clarify by 31 December 2023 as to who is going to contest from which seat. But he did not make any announcement.
Abhishek Banerjee, the national general secretary of the Trinamool Congress and MP for Bengal, has announced seat sharing in the India alliance. He pointed his finger at Congress and remarked that no notification about seat sharing had come from them.
According to Abhishek Banerjee, TMC is prepared to join the India alliance. We had requested that Congress specify by December 31, 2023, the seat each candidate will be running from. However, he made no announcement. They may be compelled to declare the seats even if they choose not to.
Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, recently decided to run solely from Bengal in the Lok Sabha elections. After this, she said in her Sadbhav rally that if Congress fights on 300 seats, then she will not fight on those seats.
