Three boys drowned while bathing in the sea in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, bodies of missing boys found on the shore
Tamil Nadu News: Locals found clothes on the beach between Uvari and Navavaladi near Thisaiyanvilai in Tirunelveli on Tuesday evening and alerted the Uvari police that some people were missing in the sea. The Uwari police, during interrogation, found that three boys, Akash (14), a class 10 student, Rahul (13), a class 9 student, and Mukesh (12), a class 8 student, had gone to take a bath in the sea at 3 pm.
In Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli district, the bodies of three youths who had taken a bath in the sea were washed ashore on Wednesday morning. On Tuesday, on Independence Day, the boys went to the sea to take a bath.
Locals found the clothes on the beach between Uvari and Navavaladi near Thisaiyanvilai in Tirunelveli on Tuesday evening and alerted the Uvari police that some people were missing in the sea. The Uwari police, during interrogation, found that three boys, Akash, 14, a Class 10 student, Rahul (13), a Class 9 student, and Mukesh (12), a Class 8 student, had gone to taken a bath in the sea around 3 pm.
Uvari police, Coastal Security Group from Kudankulam, and fire and rescue service personnel launched the search and it continued till midnight. Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M. Appavu, who also hails from the district, reached the beach and was present during the search operation. However, no trace of the boys was found.
During the wee hours of Wednesday, the bodies of Akash and Rahul washed ashore at Kodavilai near Navavaladi. At 6:30 in the morning, Mukesh's body also came ashore.
The bodies of the three boys were sent for post-mortem to the Tirunelveli Government Medical College for post-mortem.
