The Legend of Maula Jatt created history: became the first Pakistani film to earn 100 crores

Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt has made the biggest record in the history of the Pakistan film industry. Fawad Khan starrer this film has become the highest-grossing film in the history of Pakistan. The film has recently collected 100 crores worldwide at the box office. Apart from Pakistan, the film has made strong collections in countries like America, UK and UAE. The Legend of Maula Jatt, directed by Bilal Lashari, is also being touted as the most expensive film in Pakistan.
Perhaps this is the first time that a Pakistani film has outperformed Indian films. The Legend of Maula Jatt has outshone the films Ram Setu and Thank God released on the occasion of Diwali at the US and UK box office. Directed by Bilal Lashari, the film stars Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan in lead roles while stars like Hamza Ali Abbasi are in supporting roles. The Legend of Moula Jatt is a remake of the 1979 cult classic film Maula Jatt. The lead actor in this film, Fawad Khan has also appeared in many big Bollywood films. She has worked in movies like Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Kapoor & Sons and Khoobsurat. At the same time, Mahira Khan has been seen opposite Shahrukh Khan in Raees.
