At the same time, now the film's director Sudipto Sen has mourned the demise of former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and has told about his opinion on the issue of religious conversion.
Former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy passed away at the age of 79 at a hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday morning. There has been a wave of mourning in the corridors of politics since the news of his passing. Till now leaders of different parties have paid tribute to him.
In this episode, film director Sudipto Sen also wrote a long note for Oommen Chandy on his official Twitter handle and paid tribute to him. Along with this, he told about Oommen Chandy's statement on the serious issue of religious conversion in Kerala. Sudipto Sen said, "Respected Chief Minister. God rest your soul. I interviewed him and spent a lot of time with him in connection with my film. He is the second Chief Minister of Kerala, who has publicly accepted that religious conversion in Kerala is a crime." There is great danger."
He further wrote, "The whole nation will be indebted to you Sir for your statement in the Kerala Assembly on 25 June 2012, when you said that 7713 conversions took place between 2006 and 2012. Sudipto Sen's film The Kerala Story was released on June 5 this year. Adah Sharma was in the lead role in the film. The film did wonders at the box office and is running in some theatres.
