Let us tell you, a PLI scheme of Rs 18,100 crore has been started by the government for Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) battery storage and Rs 26,058 crore for the auto, auto parts, and drone industries.
On behalf of the government official, it was said that we have informed Tesla about the policies of the government, which are for everyone. They can also apply under PLI like other companies. The policy will remain the same for all the companies. The government will not make a separate policy for anyone.
Further said that representatives of Panasonic, Tesla's largest battery supplier, have met us and they have said that they want to make batteries. We have suggested they apply under PLI ACC Battery.
Earlier last month, Tesla's representatives also discussed with the officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry regarding Atri in India. Tesla is the world's largest electric car company.
