Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the second Test against Bangladesh, increasing difficulty for South African team
South Africa vs Bangladesh: South African cricketer Temba Bavuma will not play in the remaining Test matches of the series against Bangladesh. However, it is still uncertain whether he will stay with the team in Dhaka or return home to continue his rehabilitation and prepare for the Sri Lanka series.

Temba Bavuma will not feature in the second Test against Bangladesh as he has been recovering from an elbow injury. He has been replaced by Aiden Markram, who will continue to captain the side in this series.
Now Bavuma aims to be fit in time for the home Test series against Sri Lanka next month. He has injured his elbow during an ODI against Ireland this month, an awkward fall while running. He had retired hurt on 35 runs in that match and did not come back to the field again. This is that very elbow that got injured during India's T20 tour in 2022.
"We think he will not be ready for the second Test. We will ease his rehabilitation so that he can be ready for the Sri Lankan series," said Shukri Conrad, Test coach of South Africa.
Bavuma, owing to that very injury, won't take any further part in the series, and it's not sure if he will remain with the team in Dhaka or return home to continue the rehabilitation and start preparing for the Sri Lanka series.
The South African domestic first-class season starts on Wednesday, and he would play in three matches before the first Test against Sri Lanka begins on November 27 at Kingsmead.
South Africa defeated Bangladesh for the first time in Bangladesh since 2008 by seven wickets in the first match of this two-match series to take an unsurpassable 1-0 lead and also boost their chances of reaching the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
South Africa squad for 2nd Test: Aiden Markram (captain), David Bedingham, Matthew Breetzke, Dewald Brewis, Tony de Zorzi, Keshav Maharaj, Wiaan Mulder, Senuran Muthusamy, Lungi Ngidi, Dane Paterson, Dane Piedt, Kagiso Rabada, Tristan Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton and Kyle Verreynne.
