There is an atmosphere of unrest in the entire state after the arrest of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu Naidu was sent to 14-day judicial custody till September 23 by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) court in Vijayawada on Sunday in connection with the alleged Skill Development Corporation scam.
After Naidu's arrest, Telugu Desam Party workers are protesting across the state. A TDP worker was seen protesting inside a Visakhapatnam-bound flight against the arrest of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
TDP worker Adari Kishore Kumar protested inside the plane at Visakhapatnam airport on Tuesday. In a purported video that surfaced on social media, Kishore Kumar can be seen holding a 'Save Democracy' banner inside an aircraft.
Earlier, TDP workers protested in Chittoor on Monday against the arrest and judicial custody of the TDP chief in an alleged skill development case. TDP has called for a bandh across the state. Andhra Pradesh Police has imposed Section 144 in the entire state.
On Monday, the state police also tried to detain several party leaders, including TDP MLC Kancherla Srikanth in the Chittoor district, as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order in the state. Protests in Tirupati and West Bengal against the arrest and judicial custody of Chandrababu Naidu Protests also took place in Godavari districts.
