TCS MD-CEO resigns: In place of Rajesh Gopinathan, the company appointed K. appointed Krithivasan as the new CEO

TCS Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rajesh Gopinathan has resigned. Information about this, IT services company TCS issued a statement on Thursday (March 16). The company has also told in the statement that in place of Rajesh Gopinathan, K. Krithivasan has been appointed as the new CEO of TCS, who will take over the reins of the company from today.
Krithivasan is currently the President of the company and also the Global Head of the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) business group. He has been working in the company for 34 years. Whereas Gopinathan has said goodbye to the company after working for 22 years. He has held the position of MD and CEO of the company for 6 years.
TCS said in the statement, ' Gopinathan will remain with the company till September 2023 to provide support and transition to his successor. From March 16, the designated CEO K. Krithivasan will go through a transition phase and will be appointed as the CEO in the next financial year.
On resigning from TCS, Gopinathan said, 'I have thoroughly enjoyed my exciting tenure of 22 years with the company. It has been a pleasure working closely with Chandra, who has mentored me throughout this period.
Gopinathan further added, “The last 6 years of leading this prestigious organization have been the most enriching and fulfilling. During this period, the incremental revenue of the company has increased by more than $ 10 billion (Rs 82.66 thousand crores) and market capitalization by more than $ 70 billion (Rs 5.78 lakh crore).
He further added, “Having worked with Krithivasan over the last two decades, I am sure he is well-prepared to lead the team. He will take TCS to greater heights. I will work closely with Krithivasan so that he gets all the help he needs.
