Tamil Nadu: Illegal sand mining case... Madras High Court will give its verdict today in the case of ED summons to district collectors

The Madras High Court will pronounce its order on Tuesday on the petition filed by the Tamil Nadu government and five district collectors. The summons issued by the ED to the collectors in connection with the investigation into alleged illegal sand mining in the state has been challenged through this petition.

A division bench of Justices SS Sundar and Sundar Mohan had on Monday reserved the order for November 28 on the petition filed by the secretary of the state public department on behalf of the collectors of Ariyalur, Vellore, Thanjavur, Karur, and Tiruchirappalli.
