Suspicion of theft on nursing students, the warden made them take off their clothes

The warden of Delhi's Ahilya Bai Nursing College got the clothes of two girl students removed and investigated on suspicion of theft. The incident is on Tuesday. The victim girl students called the police and told them about it. The police took immediate action and registered a zero FIR, which would later be sent to the Tilak Marg police.
On the other hand, the college has constituted a fact-finding committee consisting of principal and senior teachers to investigate the matter. Also, the warden has been removed from the hostel.
A PCR call related to the incident of harassment and stripping of girl students at Ahilyabai College of Nursing of LNJP Hospital reached the police at around 1 pm on Tuesday afternoon. During interrogation, it was revealed that the BSC Nursing final-year students had gone to an event at Mandi House along with the warden. Here the warden noticed that 8000 rupees were missing from his bag. He suspected these two students of theft.
After this, the warden, with the help of other students, took off the clothes of both of them and searched them, but no money was found from them.
After the incident, the relatives of the students reached the hostel. He complained to the college administration, complaining to the warden. Police said they also lodged a complaint with the IP Estate police station about the girls being stripped. Police have registered a Zero FIR under IPC 354. Later it will be transferred to Tilak Marg police.
Under Section-154 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), the police have the responsibility to register zero FIR. This means that if a person or a victim reports a crime in a police station, but the area does not come under that police station, he can still file an FIR. Till now this was happening in the cases of rape of women.
