Indian T20 captain Surya Yadav is at the most testing times of his career life. Surya, who smashed sixes one after one over the field in the past, is not getting runs ever since becoming captain. Surya's bat is simply silent and a similar incident happened in the five-match T20 series played with England.

Surya was below par in this series and played a total failure in all five games. India captain Surya has aggregated 28 runs in five innings at a shameless average of 5.6. It is the second poorest performance in a three-match-plus T20 series in his career. Earlier, in a four-match series in South Africa, Surya scored 26 runs in four innings at an average of 8.66. It is the worst average for any Indian captain in a T20 series.

Surya returned to the pavilion without opening his account in the first match played against England in Kolkata. In the second T20 match played in Chennai, he was clean-bowled by Bryden Carse after scoring 12 runs. In the third T20 played in Rajkot, he was out after scoring 14 runs. In the fourth T20, Surya once again returned to the pavilion on a duck, while in the fifth T20, he was out on 2 runs.

After making his debut in T20, a flood of runs was seen from Surya's bat. But after becoming a full-time captain in T20, Surya's form is worrying. After being made the captain, he has scored only 258 runs in 15 matches at an average of 17.2. During this, he was successful in hitting two half-centuries.

Suryakumar Yadav took over the responsibility of India's full-time captain in T20 during the Sri Lanka tour last year. Batting at a strike rate of 223.07 in the first match of that series, Surya scored 58 runs off 36 balls. After that, in the last T20 against Bangladesh, he scored 78 runs off 35 balls at a strike rate of 214.28.

If we look at his T20 career, Suryakumar Yadav has scored 2598 runs in 79 innings of 83 matches for India at an average of 38.21. During this, four centuries and 21 half-centuries have come from his bat. If we look at his captaincy, India has played 23 matches so far under his leadership. Out of these, India has won 18 matches and lost four. One match was tied. Their winning percentage is 78.26.
