According to research released on Tuesday, there might be a 9.5 percent increase in corporate company pay in 2025. These estimates are similar to the actual 2024 pay increase.

In 2025, the average salary increase in India is expected to rise by 9.5 percent, as to the newest Salary Budget Planning Report from WTW. In 2024, the actual salary increase was similarly 9.5 percent.

In the entire area, India's pay increase is the largest. Strong salary increase is also anticipated for markets like Vietnam (7.6 percent), Indonesia (6.5 percent), the Philippines (5.6 percent), China (5 percent), and Thailand (5 percent) in the upcoming year.

The salary budget planning report is compiled by the Rewards Data Intelligence practice comprising WTW. The survey was fielded in April and June 2024, during which time nearly 32,000 responses were taken from companies in 168 countries worldwide. In addition, there were 709 participants from India.

As Rajul Mathur, Consulting Leader, Work and Rewards, WTW India, said, "Companies in India are optimistic about growth. Simultaneously, optimism is gently tempered with caution as the resignation phase is behind us. Both employers and employees now want stability and so does the market sentiment.".

In 2025, industries such as pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, insurance, captive and SSO sector, and retail will witness higher salary growth compared to the general industry average of 10%, 9.9%, 9.7%, 9.7%, and 9.6% respectively. Software and business services may see salary growth of up to 9%. Salary growth in this sector is projected to be below the average of 9.5%.
