Prabhakar, who became the Chief Technologist in Google, has done B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Madras.

Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai has provided information about the new responsibility given to Prabhakar Raghavan through writing a blog post. He mentioned that Raghavan was leading the team in Google for 12 years. Now he will handle the post of Chief Technologist of the company. According to the report of CNBC, Raghavan will report directly to Sundar Pichai.
The report says that the company has taken this step at a time when the giant tech company is revising the team for its growth. Also, the company is facing increasing competition. Along with this, the lawsuits against monopoly in the business related to Google search and advertisement are also upon the company at the global level.
Prabhakar Raghavan, the chief technologist who joined Google, has done his B. Tech in Computer Science from IIT, Madras. Added to this, he did his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at UC Berkeley. Added to this, he was also a consulting professor at Stanford University. Added to this, he was also the Editor-in-chief of ACM Journal.
Prabhakar Raghavan led the team that developed Yahoo Labs prior to joining Google. In this case, his duties included creating the ad marketplace, search, and ad rating. In his 14-year career, he has held numerous significant roles at IBM in addition to his current role as CTO of Verity.
For the past 20 years, Raghavan has been working on algorithms. In addition, he has over 100 publications on databases and web search published. He was previously the Vice President of Google Cloud's Google Apps division. Google's app division has expanded from consumer apps to commercial solutions under his direction. He has been important in growing Google's cloud computing division. He also upgraded G Suite to include the machine intelligence function.
