On the occasion of Janmashtami, a huge number of devotees paid visits to the Govind Devji Temple and Shri Radha Gopinathji Temple on Monday. Devotees started queueing up at 3 am at the Govind Devji Temple located inside the City Palace in order to seek 'Mangala Darshan' from the time of 4:30 am.

According to Jaipur, Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph, as the day progresses, more and more devotees are expected. Therefore, we have made tight arrangements for their safety and security. Many temples, including Shri Radha Gopinath Ji Temple, also witnessed a huge crowd of devotees.

Joseph informed that facial recognition CCTV cameras had been installed at Govind Devji Temple, ISKCON Temple, and Akshaya Patra Temple for picking pockets of the idols. At the same time, there are artifacts at those places and other valuables of worship, along with vehicle thieves and other miscreants. He said control rooms have been set up at all three temples for monitoring. Teams of policemen in plain clothes have also been deployed at the temples.

Explaining this system of surveillance, he added: "Photograph and other details, such as state and interstate criminals among others, has already been recorded in the database. Whenever such criminal come under the CCTV, it would get its identity and generate immediate an alert that would further allow the security personnel on duty to nab them instantaneously."
