Star all-rounder player Cameron Green has been out from the India vs Australia Test series. It's also being said that he will not be playing for atleast 6 months. This incident before the Border Gavaskar Trophy is a major setback for Australia. In such a situation, he may be out of the Border Gavaskar Trophy along with the ICC Champions Trophy. The main reason behind him not be playing is his back injury surgery.

There were reports earlier that Green is in danger of being out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Some reports also said that Green will participate in the important Border Gavaskar Trophy only as a batsman but now this will not happen. Green is going to undergo surgery on his lower back after his fifth stress fracture.

The recovery from that injury is expected to take almost six months for this 25-year-old all-rounder. But his presence is very important for the Australian cricket team. He has given priority to the injury with a view to future prospects. In the recently concluded ODI series against England, Cameron Green took the injury.

Now, Green will miss the entire summer to include the all-important Border Gavaskar Trophy, Sri Lanka tour and ICC Champions Trophy. But whether he manages to recover in time for the WTC final, IPL and West Indies tour remains to be seen.
