Srimant Jha, the world's third and Asia's number one arm wrestler, has won the gold medal in the +85 kg category in the Asia Para-Arm Wrestling Cup 2024.

Srimant Jha, India's number one para-athlete raised the flag of India once again. This time, he won in the category of +85 kg at the Asia Para-Arm Wrestling Cup 2024 held in India. He dedicated his gold medal to the Indian soldiers. Srimant won the gold by winning the final today on Wednesday, 23 October in the Asia Para-Arm-Wrestling Cup 2024 which is being played from 19 to 26 October. By winning this he qualified for the World Para Arm Wrestling Championship in Bulgaria.

Jha, after this victory said that he had prepared well for the international competition and now he will focus on the upcoming international tournament. The triumph is special. Now I will surely attempt to make India proud once more in the upcoming tournament." Shrimant is from Bhilai in Chhattisgarh, having won 49 medals so far.

Shrimant Jha, born with four fingers in both hands, world number-3 and Asia's number-1 para-arm wrestler, won the gold. Arm Wrestling President Preeti Jhinjyani, Chhattisgarh Arm Wrestling President G Suresh Babe, Chairman Brij Mohan Singh, Secretary Srikant and Coach Rishabh Jain congratulated Jha for his win of a gold medal.
