SRH player Kamindu Mendis bowls with both hands did wonders with both ball and bat on IPL debut
Kamindu Mendis, Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2025: Sri Lankan all-rounder Kamindu Mendis, who made his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad, was seen bowling with both hands. However, this is not the first time Mendis has done this.

The 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was played between defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). A strange incident was seen in this match played at Eden Gardens ground in Kolkata.
Kamindu Mendis, the Sri Lankan all-rounder, who played his first game with Sunrisers Hyderabad, was observed bowling with both hands. This, though, isn't the first instance. He has performed this several times in international cricket. Mendis bowled a left-arm spin ball against right-hand batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Meanwhile, Mendis bowled with his right hand against left-hand batsman Venkatesh Iyer.
Kamindu performed magic on his IPL debut by getting Angkrish Raghuvanshi dismissed in the first over itself. It's his bowling video that's trending on social media. Mendis isn't the first one among the Sri Lanka cricketers who have bowled using both hands. Former skipper Hasan Tilakaratne also used both hands when bowling in international cricket.
Talking about the match, KKR won the match by a huge margin of 80 runs by bowling out Hyderabad for just 120 runs based on deadly bowling by Vaibhav Arora and Varun Chakraborty. Mendis contributed with both the ball and the bat for Hyderabad. First, he took one wicket for four runs and then scored 27 runs in 20 balls with the help of one four and two sixes.
