Jeep, popular for its off-road vehicles, is working on a new compact SUV these days, which is being called the Jeepster. Jeepster will make its global debut later this year. Some spy pictures have surfaced recently, in which it is seen with an ICE engine. It is worth noting that its testing model seen earlier was an all-electric variant. It is being speculated that Jeep may bring it in both variants.

How will the Jeepster look?

Many of the design features of the Jeepster compact SUV seen in the spy images seem to be similar to the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Lighting features include top-mounted LED DRLs, split headlight design, and pointed taillamps on the rear profile. As for the design, the SUV could include a 7-slat grille, muscular wheel arches, thick body cladding, C-pillar mounted rear door handles, and sporty alloy wheels.

As previously revealed, the first model seen was an all-electric SUV while the latter one was with an ICE engine. Thus, the Jeep Jeepster can come in both mild-hybrid and pure-EV variants. The top-spec variant is expected to get electronic all-wheel-drive (eAWD) as an option while the mild-hybrid engine will be based on the common modular platform. This engine could share its design with the Citroen C3 compact SUV in India.

New Jeepster may come at this price

Jeep's upcoming compact SUV could be launched by the end of this year and the price could come at Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom. For its correct information, you will have to wait for its launch. In its segment, it will compete with Creta, Seltos, Taigun, and Kushaq.
