New Delhi [India] October 11: On the occasion of Navratri, the Rajat Synergy Foundation has taken a unique initiative to empower women by partnering with Hunar-a-Banaras to provide 2000 meters of Banarasi silk (export surplus fabric).

In an effort to make women self-reliant, the Rajat Synergy Foundation has joined hands with Hunar-a-Banaras and donated 2000 meters of Banarasi silk fabric on Friday. This initiative allows thirty women, who are striving for self-reliance, to create designer dresses & fashion accessories etc from this fabric and sell them in the market, thus becoming women entrepreneurs.

Over the past 30 years, more than ten thousand women have progressed towards self-reliance through the Hunar-a-Banaras organization.

Mrs. Bharti Pathak, Chairperson of the Rajat Synergy Foundation, stated that our culture has always centered around female power. By providing clothes to women on the auspicious Ashtami day of Navratri, the foundation aims to strengthen women’s power so they can transform from homemakers to women entrepreneurs.

Mrs. Pragati Pathak, Director of the Foundation, shared that they had previously provided sewing machines to the students of Gopi Radha Girls’ Intermediate College to uplift women and promote self-reliance. She emphasized that this is a step toward manifesting the principles of our eternal traditions and culture, and if every capable person, organization, or group undertakes similar efforts, our society and country can become economically self-reliant.

On this occasion, Ajay Kumar Singh, Director/CEO of Hunar-a-Banaras, expressed gratitude for the support from Rajat Synergy Foundation and explained that the organization provides training in incense stick making, dress designing, handicrafts, and also assists women in becoming entrepreneurs.

Sincerely,

Pragati Pathak, Director

Rajat Synergy Foundation, Varanasi
