Life in urban slums is frequently characterized by lack of access to necessities, poor infrastructure, and inadequate services. Our programs cover 5 focus areas: Quality Education (Slum Children Education in Delhi), Health Care, Skill Development (NGO working for Skill Development in Delhi), Women Empowerment (NGO working for Women Empowerment in Delhi) &Sponsoring child education.
Since 2017, Shanti Devi Mittal Foundation in Delhi has followed its mission to impart knowledge and self-reliant monetization skills to the underprivileged section of the society. Scope of our activities includes access to quality education, health care, skill development & livelihood empowerment. SKETS HOPE CENTRE was established (Estt. 2017) in association with SKETS STUDIO PVT LIMITED, an architecture firm based in Delhi. The Trust is a Registered Trust and duly approved by the Income Tax Department with Registration No. CIT (Exemption), Delhi 12AA/2019-20/A/10289 dated 30 August 2019. The trust has a full-fledged centre apart from free vocational training and student education.
Over 50% of the population is under 30 years, India leads to the youngest nation in the world.
Skill Development is not just what SKETS HOPE CENTRE do as a job, but rather a career, it improves the skill of individual and regulates employment. As we all know, Youth play a crucial role in achieving the economic growth and prosperity of any country. India is lagging due to various problems i.e., poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, medical infrastructure, etc. Skill development can mitigate poverty, utilize demographic dividend, socio-economic empowerment of underprivileged sectors that achieve economic growth, and reduce social challenges & economic inclusion.

Education For All
Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive, easy to govern but impossible to enslave.” Without education, the training of the human mind is incomplete. … The human mind was made to be trained and without education, a person is incomplete”.
SKETS HOPE CENTRE, an NGO for poor child education believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment, or human rights, there’s no better place to start than in the corridors of education. We’re providing free of cost tuition classes to underprivileged children from Grade 1 to 10.
Computer Classes
Today computers are used in various fields like business, pharmacy, music, education, engineering, management, defence, and transportation as they help to ease certain tasks, provide information faster, and speed up the work. Skets Hope Centre generate the computer saksharta /skills with the scenario of modern digital literacy, modern infrastructure as well as with the awareness session. The objective of our centre is to reach out to the weaker section of the society from disadvantaged backgrounds, which do not have the exposure to Information Technology like others. IT training in professional institutes is unaffordable for them. The computers are provided in a ratio of 1:1, i.e., 1 student per computer for better understanding. The student teacher ratio is 15:1, i.e.
Women Empowerment
Empowering women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors is essential to build stronger economies, achieve internationally agreed goals for development and sustainability, and improve the quality of life for women, men, families, and communities. Skill acquisition can be described as a powerful tool that can be used to eradicate unemployment, which is the main cause of hunger and poverty. We Promote female education by helping them to learn life-changing skills free of cost at our centre. Skills like sewing, computer training, beauty course and mehndi art making women self-dependent.
Self Defence Training
Glad to announce the commencement of self-defence course in Skets Hope Centre from 1st Nov 2021. Self-defence plays an important part in women’s lives Self-Protection is an ability that any woman can learn on a regular basis or wherever the situation requires to make her own and others’ lives safer. We have decided to start self-defence trainings for girls in our centre, Self-defence training helps people in removing the uncertainty and anxiety and boosts their confidence, it increases sense of self-efficacy and self-esteem. Learning self-defence makes children & women feel stronger, confident, and secure while commuting to work.
