Rajkot (Gujarat) [India], November 22: Rajkot is abuzz with a wave of spirituality as it prepares to host the much-anticipated Ramkatha by renowned spiritual leader and Ramcharitmanas exponent Morari Bapu. Scheduled to begin on Saturday at the Racecourse Ground, this sacred event promises to draw devotees from across India and the world.
The Ramkatha is not just a spiritual gathering but also a symbol of service, as all proceeds will go to the Sadbhavana Trust and support the construction of the Sadbhavana Old Age Home and other charitable causes.
This marks the 947th Ramkatha in Morari Bapu’s six-decade-long journey of sharing the teachings of Lord Ram and the Ramayana. Known for his messages of truth, love and compassion, Morari Bapu has expressed his anticipation for this event, which combines spirituality with a noble cause.
The Sadbhavana Old Age Home, located near Jamnagar Road in Paddhari, is envisioned as a sanctuary for elderly individuals in need. The project also aligns with global environmental efforts, including the promotion of large-scale tree plantations to mitigate climate change.
Preparations are in full swing to host over 10,000 devotees, dignitaries and guests who will gather to immerse themselves in the divine narration and contribute to this noble cause. Special arrangements, including a hospitality area serving satvik meals, snacks and beverages, have been made to ensure a welcoming and comfortable experience for attendees.
Beyond its spiritual essence, the event will serve as a platform for collective service. Dozens of community organisations, leaders and volunteers have devoted themselves and come together to ensure the success of the initiative, reflecting a shared commitment to societal betterment. The Sadbhavana Old Age Home, which has been a haven for more than 500 elderly citizens, perfectly showcases this mission, blending traditional values with modern challenges.
The Ramkatha, concluding on December 1, not only honours the timeless legacy of Lord Ram but also highlights the potential of spirituality to inspire positive societal change. Rajkot’s residents and visitors alike are poised to experience an event that will leave an enduring impact, uniting faith and service for a better future.
