This not only saved resources but also reduced environmental impact, preserving 19% of forest land in Tumakuru district. Technological Innovation: The integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), satellite imagery, and real-time data has revolutionized project planning. This enables ministries and private players to identify intersections and coordinate effectively, mitigating bottlenecks in infrastructure development. Sustainability: By prioritizing eco-friendly project designs, GatiShakti minimizes disruption to natural habitats. This approach has facilitated faster project completions while safeguarding the environment. Social Impact: The PAHUNCH portal in Uttar Pradesh highlights GatiShakti’s role in enhancing access to education by mapping underserved areas, ensuring that children, especially girls in rural regions, can attend schools closer to home.
