Mumbai (Maharastra) [India] September 4: From Prayagraj to Bollywood, it has been a long, tedious but a very fruitful journey for actor par excellence Karan Aanand who always dreamt of entertaining people but at the same time also does meaningful films which could have a deep impact on peoples mind. For the last 15 years, Karan Aanand has been living his dream of a Bollywood actor who has been portraying various characters on celluloid to the best of his abilities.

Almost 15 years ago ‘Gunday’, ‘Baby’ and ‘Lupt’ actor Karan Aanand landed in Mumbai from Prayagraj to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an actor. Even though his parents were hesitant and initially not at all supportive of his decision to pursue his acting dreams, Karan Aanand made sure that somehow he reaches Mumbai and fulfills his long cherished dream. Interestingly, it took more than two years for Karan Aanand to convince his parents who later understood his passion for cinema and allowed him to pursue a career in acting which is considered as not so steady career option.

Now, with his parents blessings Karan Aanand started his struggle in Mumbai to get roles in TV shows and movies. He knew that life without a godfather in the industry was never going to be easy. It was hard to get any role and get going into the established system but Karan Aanand never got discouraged or demotivated by the initial struggles and rejections he has to face while pursuing a career in acting. He kept going and soon the offer started pouring in. Initially he played lead roles in some of the very popular shows of that time and started getting recognised as a very good actor.

Before getting the first break in the very popular TV show ‘Chittod Ki Rani Padmini Ka Johar’ (2009) Karan Aanand joined famous theatre group Ekjute to horne his acting skills and enacted various parts in many renowned plays. He was also appreciated for his role in another TV show called ‘Kabhi Toh Sab Milke Bolo’. He later got his first break in Bollywood and acted in his first movie called ‘Gunday’ which starred Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Kapoor in lead roles. Even though Karan Aanand played a small but action packed part in the film, he was able to make an impact through his character and was hugely appreciated. Later, Hapkido black belt holder Karan Aanand also got a chance to work in Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu starrer hit  film ‘Baby’ where he once again got to exhibit his marshal art skills and was again praised for his acting skills.

Notably, Karan Aanand will be next seen in his upcoming film ‘Jaiye Aap Kahaan Jayenge’ where he would be playing a character which he has never played before. Talking about his excitement for the film Karan Aanand says, “Audiences are going to see me in a different avatar of me through this film. I have worked very hard to prepare for this role and it took me 1.5 years to immerse myself in this role. For now, I won’t be able to reveal much about my role in the film, but one thing I would like to say is that I am very excited for the film and people would be surprised to see me in it.”

Karan Aanand further added ‘Jaiye Aap Kahaan Jayenge’ could be a turning point for his career and he can’t wait for the release of the movie. He said that not only this but he would be seen working in a couple of more promising projects which would be releasing soon.

Reflecting about his journey of 15 years as an actor, who started his career as an voiceover artist, Karan Aanand says, “I want to tell everybody out there that if you have a dream, go out and do everything to make it possible. It is true that for an outsider like me, it is very difficult to make it in the industry but there are innumerable examples in front of us of people who had no connection whatsoever but they still made it and fortunately I am one of those. Never ever give up on your dream. I am eternally grateful to the city and the people of Mumbai that they allowed me to become an actor and showered me with so much love and shown so much of warmth throughout my career”.
