On January 16, a passenger on a SpiceJet flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru unfortunately got stuck inside the toilet for about an hour. This situation occurred due to a malfunction in the door lock during the flight. SpiceJet said that during the journey, our crew provided assistance and guidance to the passengers.

A SpiceJet spokesperson said that upon reaching Bengaluru, an engineer opened the toilet door and the passenger was provided immediate medical aid. SpiceJet has also said that a full refund is being given to the passenger who was stuck inside the toilet for about an hour on the flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru.

Meanwhile, some posts are going viral on social media claiming that the passengers trapped in the toilet were in a state of shock. To calm the passenger, the crew wrote a note on a piece of paper and slipped it under the toilet door.

The note read, "Sir, we tried our best to open the door. However, we could not. Don't worry, we are getting down in a few minutes. So please close the lid of the commode sit on it and automatically Secure it. The engineer will come as soon as the main gate opens. This note is now going viral on social media."

Aviation regulator DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) is investigating the incident in which a passenger got stuck in the toilet on a SpiceJet flight going from Mumbai to Bangalore. A DGCA official gave this information on Wednesday. Due to a faulty door lock, a passenger had to spend an hour in the toilet during the flight on Tuesday. Only after the plane landed in Bangalore, the trapped passenger could be taken out by opening the door.

According to the DGCA official, whether this incident occurred due to maintenance-related reasons or due to some other reason is being investigated. He said that we are investigating all possibilities.
