Sneha Wagh Seeks Blessings from Devoleena Bhattacharya Before Taking Over as Chhathi Maiyya

Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya is all set to enter as Sneha Wagh will soon be seen as Chhathi Maiyya in Sun Neo’s show Cartoonly. Known for her powerful performances in costume dramas like Sher-e-Punjab: But Sneha has always had a penchant for showing larger than life characters on screen – in Jai Hanuman — Sankatmochan Naam Tiharo, Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram, Chandragupta Maurya, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, as well as Mere Sai.

"She is excited to be playing such iconic characters and loves costume dramas as she is, 'I love costume dramas and all the grandeur that comes with it,' she says." It’s a dream come true for me to play Chhathi Maiyya. It is always been a dream of mine to play a goddess, and now that it's actualizing, I couldn't be happier.”

Devoleena Bhattacharya had played Chhathi Maiyya's role in the show earlier. Often one comes into replacing a well established character and Sneha did the same in style. "It’s not exactly a replacement," she said. I’ve got some really beautiful blessings coming her way, and I’m just stepping in. The first thing I did when I got the call was message Devoleena personally. I asked her if she would be okay with me taking on the role, and once I had her blessing, I moved forward with meetings, look tests, and everything else."

'As a director's actor, so I am going to follow the director's guidance to bring this soothing character to life,' Sneha said. But I love playing Chhathi Maiyya, so that too requires me to be calm and composed from inside, and I think I'm embracing it with all my heart.

She says about her first scene in the show: 'My first scene in the show is set in Vrindavan.' That's believing in Krishna's love and blessings, which I shall have with me throughout this journey," they said.
