Skoda Superb returns to the Indian market, only selected customers will get this sedan for Rs 54 lakh
Skoda Superb has made a comeback in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 54 lakh. In terms of design, the Superb is not much different from the last one sold in India. It comes with the usual Skoda grille with washers on the sides and all LED headlights. Skoda has also updated the feature list in the new Superb.
Skoda Superb has made a comeback in the Indian market with increased prices. The Czech auto giant has launched it in India for Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom). The Superb is back after a year. The company had withdrawn it due to strict BS6 Phase-2 emissions. Skoda has launched the Superb as a completely built unit (CBU). Only 100 units will be sold.
The Superb's design is largely the same as the previous model that was offered in India. It has the standard Skoda grille up front with all LED headlights that have side washers. There are LED fog lights mounted on the bumper. The Superb has 18-inch Propass Aero alloy wheels on its sides. Dynamic turn indicators are included with the LED taillights.
The new Superb's feature list has also been updated by Skoda. It has features like wireless charging, tri-zone climate control, a 9.1-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a new 10.2-inch digital driver display.
Additionally, the front seats can be electronically adjusted in 12 different ways, while the driver's seat gets massage and memory functions. It has been given a two-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters.
The Skoda Superb will be offered in only one variant. This sedan comes only in the Laurin & Klement variant, which is equipped with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine. This unit is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. This engine is capable of generating power of 187 bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm.
