Bajaj Auto has quietly discontinued the Pulsar N160 single-channel ABS variant in the country. Bajaj dealership has cited low demand for the above variants as the reason for its closure. Bajaj Pulsar N160 will now be available only in dual-channel ABS variant and its price is Rs 1.31 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Come, let us know about the complete news.

In a way, this step of the company is definitely welcome, because more customers prefer to buy the dual channel ABS variant of Bajaj Pulsar N160, which is undoubtedly safer. The price difference between the two variants was a mere Rs 5,000, which might have prompted buyers to spend a slight premium and buy the latter variant.

The dual-channel ABS motorcycle has better stopping power and performs better during panic braking. The Pulsar N160 was the first motorcycle in the segment to get dual-channel ABS as an option at its launch last year.

There are no other changes in the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the bike continues to draw power from the 164.82 cc single-cylinder, oil-cooled motor, which produces 15.6 bhp at 8,750 rpm and 14.65 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm. This engine is rated at 5 Paired with a-speed gearbox.

The bike has telescopic forks at the front with 37 mm travel and a mono-shock at the rear with 31 mm travel. It has 300 mm and 230 mm discs at the front and rear respectively. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Bajaj Pulsar N160 is available in three colors – Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, and Caribbean Blue. Let us tell you that the dual-channel ABS variant was earlier offered only in the Brooklyn Black paint scheme. This motorcycle competes with Suzuki Gixxer 155, Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3.0, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.
