Singer Arijit Singh's concert cancelled in Kolkata

Bollywood singer Arijit Singh is in the limelight. Arijit's concert was going to be held in Kolkata on February 18, but now the concert has been cancelled due to the non-availability of police permission. In fact, at the Kolkata International Film Festival, in 2022, Arijit sang his popular song Gerua Gaya, after which his concert was cancelled a few days later. Meanwhile, the politics of TMC and BJP has started regarding the saffron colour.
On cancellation of Arijit's concert, BJP leader Amit Malviya accused Mamta Sarkar that she was scared of the saffron colour, due to which she cancelled the concert. In the tweet, BJP leader Amit Malviya wrote – Sr. Bachchan spoke about the lack of freedom and expression at the Kolkata Film Festival. Then the show Arijit Singh was cancelled by the West Bengal government on the song 'Rang de tu mohe gerua' on the stage.
Responding to the matter, West Bengal cabinet minister Firhad Hakim said that the permission for Arijit Singh's concert was denied because the G-20 summit is also going to be held in the same area. During this time all the members of the G-20 will be around the same city. Firhad further said that the G-20 summit will be held at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, which is just opposite Eco Park. According to the police, if the concert takes place, a crowd of thousands will gather there, which will make it difficult to monitor people. For this reason, the government has forbidden to do the show.
According to media reports, Arijit Singh's concert was to be held on February 18, but now the government says that the show should be shifted somewhere else. If reports are to be believed then a show of Salman Khan is to be held here on January 20.
