In Singapore, a man has sued his favourite girl for $3 million (Rs 25 crore). Of. This man named Koshigan says that a girl named Nora Tan rejected his love and friend-zoned him. His feelings were hurt when he came to know that the girl only considered him as a friend. To avenge this, he sued the girl.
According to the Strait Times, the two first met in 2016 and became friends. Gradually, the boy developed feelings for the girl, but the girl kept thinking of it as just friendship. Trouble started brewing between the two in September 2020 when Nora continued to consider Mr. Cosigan as just a friend, but he began to consider her his most special friend.
Koshigan had already wanted to sue Miss Tan for causing emotional trauma but decided not to pursue legal action when Miss Tan agreed to attend counselling sessions with him. During the counselling sessions, Miss Tan told Koshigan that she did not feel comfortable attending these sessions.
This didn't go down well with Mr. Cosigan and threatened Miss Tan to either accept his demand or face losses in her personal and professional life. Both kept taking counselling for more than one and a half years. All this time Koshigan could not accept the fact that Miss Tan was turning down his proposal.
When Miss Tan broke off contact with him, Coshigan filed two lawsuits against her. This includes a Rs 25 crore claim filed in a High Court, in which Ms. Tan is accused of damaging Koshigan's reputation, causing him trauma and depression, and affecting his life. The matter is to be heard on February 9.
A second suit has been filed in the Magistrate's Court for a claim of $22,000 (about Rs 18 lakh), alleging that Miss Tan has violated the agreement to mend their relationship.
