Airbus and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) Vadodara signed an MoU on Thursday. The MoU was signed in the presence of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. It aims to jointly design courses and programs for regular students and professionals to impart skills as per the demand of the sector. In addition, there are internship, placement, and scholarship programs for the students.
Airbus and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) Vadodara signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday. The MoU was signed in the presence of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. As per the MoU, Airbus and Gati Shakti University will work together to develop an academic curriculum as well as support programs related to the sector.
It aims to impart skills as per the demand of the sector, and jointly design courses and programs for regular students and professionals. In addition, there are internship placement, and scholarship programs for the students.
Speaking on the occasion, Rémi Maillard, President and Managing Director, Airbus India and South Asia, said, “We are committed to developing India as a global aviation hub and further supporting the growth of the commercial aviation industry in the country. Talent development is a core element of the aerospace ecosystem.
He said that under this partnership with Gati Shakti University, we will bring our global expertise to develop the best diverse talent in India and build a strong pipeline of skilled workforce for the region.
Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti University Prof. Manoj Chowdhary said that this partnership with Airbus will significantly enhance the aerospace and aviation sector.
Be aware that the C295 Final Assembly Line being built at Vadodara is an example of this commitment, as it is the first 'Make in India' aerospace program in the private sector that involves the development of an entire industrial ecosystem in the country.
Airbus has developed pilot training capabilities in Gurugram and maintenance training capabilities in Bengaluru. The collaboration with GSV will help create a skilled workforce for the country's fast-growing aerospace sector.
