Sidhu Moosewala's parents went to England: Angry over no action on son's killers, cycle rally to be held in the UK to bring justice to the family
Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's mother Charan Kaur and father Balkaur Singh left for England (UK) on Friday. He took a flight from Chandigarh. After the pictures of Moosewala's parents going abroad came to the fore, there has been a stir among fans of Moosewala. Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh had last month given an ultimatum of one month to the Punjab government to take action against his son's killers.
Balkaur Singh had said that if action was not taken against the killers of his son, he would settle abroad. However, now close relatives of Moosewala's family say that both will return to India very soon.
Sidhu Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur were seen at Chandigarh airport. In the pictures, both were seen going inside the airport and doing immigration check-in. In a picture, both are also seen sitting inside the flight.
The fans of the Punjabi singer living in England have started a campaign to get justice for Moosewala's family. In this episode, a cycle rally has been organized on his behalf outside the Parliament of England on 24th November. Moosewala's parents have gone to England to attend this rally.
Moosewala's parents are demanding justice for their son. After the gangster Tinu, who was involved in Moosewala's murder, escaped from police custody two months ago, both of them were seen losing their courage. Then Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh said that he would give one month's time to the Punjab government. If his son gets justice, then fine, otherwise he will withdraw the complaint related to the murder of his son and go abroad.
Sidhu Moosewala's parents had also started a signature campaign a few days ago. Thousands of people participated in it. He had also reached out to meet the DGP of Punjab with the application. Describing Punjab as unsafe during a speech a few days ago, both of them had said that now everyone will have to protect themselves here.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29 in a village in Mansa. The responsibility of killing Moosewala was taken by jailed gangster Lawrence and his accomplice Goldie Brar sitting in Canada. Police have arrested more than 25 people in this case. Preparations are on to bring Goldie Brar sitting abroad to Punjab. However, two months ago, the shooter Tinnu escaped from police custody and in his escape, the name of an Inspector of Punjab Police came to the fore.
